text: There are various reasons for the changes in Longkhai. The entire village was converted to Christianity some eight or nine years ago, and I am told that such mass conversions were usually effected by a missionary persuading the gaonburas and Ang, and the villagers considering the conversion virtually as an order from the village authorities.
