text: This afternoon the ADC suggested a visit to Totok, and I am glad to have seen this village. It also occupies a rocky mountain top, and the houses are built right onto the rock. One wonders how the post could be driven into such ground. The village is very large, - probably larger than Wakching, and the houses stand close together, often leaving only very narrow gullies. In contrast to Mon, Totok seems hardly touched by the modern world. The dress of men and women is traditional and the well-kept morungs clearly lived in.
