text: There is no rite connected with the entrance of a boy to the morung, but it is the morung members who decide when a boy should start sleeping in the morung. When a morung is being rebuilt, all the morung help to drag in and erect the main posts and the central roof pole. Each morung has one priest. Hodateupeu is the morung priest . Bikaung (a person's name) is the village priest. He is selected by the assembly of all villagers. Tingkapao is the term for the village priest.
