text: The festival before the rice harvest is celebrated if they have money.
text: The pre-harvest festival is celebrated by killing and eating, but not sacrificing the animal. They then eat at the headman's house, they kill pigs and fowls. They bought cows 8 years ago, they have no mithan. They sold rice and bought the cattle from Haflong, Asalu and Longkai. Some people drink the milk. They don't sell milk and so far have not sold cattle. They eat the beef. The reason why they do not milk much is "that they have not got time, having to go early in the morning to their fields".
