Ang of L. Yok-um of Wangsha clan, he is the son of Mauwang. His mother is of Wangnau clan of Longkhai. Only one of the three morungs is maintained. It is used as a Christian assembly room for men. Boys sleep there. The other two morungs are in ruins. All the people are Christians. Mauwang's great Ang daughter is married to the great Ang of Leangha. She has two sons and one daughter. They still celebrate the Olimbu, but the dancing is only "for fun". The girls never dress up as they used to do. Longkhai became Christian 20 years ago. Christianity was brought by Rev. Long-ri, an Ao. Mauwang died in 1967 - he also became a Christian. |
