text: Halted. Heard cases and dealt with some petitions. The well in the second division of the bazar is not yet working as apparently it had to stand over till the cold weather and the pump of the big tank on the bazar side of the Railway has broken down and is not yet repaired. The P.W.D. have been working at it but not apparently continuously. Meanwhile the people living in the bazar really are in difficulties for decent drinking water. The drains too are very bad and need to be made pukka almost before the roads are metalled. It will probably be possible to do about 100 yards of both road and drains this year. Inspected the Thana and Dispensary.
