text: To Nichuguard.
text: Inspected the Thana and the Government garden and gave some directions to the mali. This garden has been much neglected.
text: Samaguting had been ordered to clear the Forest line. They asked for a postponement until after the harvest is in, which is reasonable as they need to watch their crops daily at present, as they are just beginning to ripen and are at the edge of the jungle.

text: Halted Nichuguard. There was a leopard about so I had a goat tied up at 9.30 am. It was killed by 1.30 pm and I had a shot at the leopard by 3.0. Unfortunately I did not kill it dead and though we searched all the afternoon we could not track it down.
text: The Inspection Bungalow compound needs the railing repaired. Inspected the Constables kit.
