My Ross rifle (irreplaceable now that the firm has closed down) was stolen in the night in its case together with 3 cartridges. Luckily the other cartridges - about 40 rounds, were inside the bungalow. |

The rifle was in its case on the cart with the Manipuri cartman sleeping right up against it and was last noticed about 10.0pm. There was a bright moon. |

To Ghaspani where I renewed a number of gun licenses. Some Kukis came in with cases, and Ferima produced a land dispute with Chiphama. Piphima was having a genna as I went through. They claim the reward for some elephant tusks found by some other village. |
