text: To Phekrokejima. The road vastly improved. I am inclined to think that the river would be fordable at Medizu from December to May, but we must have a bridge of some sort for the rains. On the way we heard a tiger singing softly to himself close to the path somewhere down by the river but could not get a sight of him.
text: Nearer Phekrokejima there are several panikhet nullas across the road which want looking to. I think they ought to be made to run underneath it by means of rough stone culverts, as it is they are bound to ruin it in the rains. Several cases here.
