text: An Angami was run over here and seriously damaged by a train a few days ago. The Sub Assistant Surgeon sent him down to Lumding hospital, but he came back two or three days later without even having had the coal dust washed out of his wounds. Gangrene had set in, and the leg which could have been saved will have to be amputated in Kohima. He complained to the Sub Assistant surgeon at Dimapur that he was not looked after at all at Lumding. This matter might be brought to the notice of medical officer, Lumding.
