text: To Nerhema. There is some sort of epidemic dysentery here. There have been 20 deaths in the past two months, six of them apparently during the last five or six days, including the chaukidar of the Inspection Bungalow. I do not think there is any itinerating Sub Assistant Surgeon left, but the Civil Surgeon may be able to send out someone. This epidemic is about in several parts of the district in different places - mostly not very seriously but quite troublesome enough.
