text: To Dimapur. The Town Overseer will go to the Survey Training class in November. Moloram had better act as Moharrir and take over his work till he comes back.
text: The pound will be kept on by the Mauzadar till Jan 1st and then given up. The new man, whoever it is to be, will have to deposit security. Gaurilal might do but not Harilal, I think, as I fancy he has been playing the fool.
text: There are lots of complaints. Also the S.I. will have to be empowered to inspect it.
text: The D.R. Khansama complains that he had been required to take a pass at Rs. 3/- per month for the collection of wood in the unclassed S.F. for the use of the D.B. This, he says, is new and had never been required before. I gather from what I am told that the only other people who pay for firewood collecting are men who make a trade of carting and selling it. If this is so, and indeed in any case, I think the D.B., which is not going to trade in it, might get it free.
text: By train to Safrai leaving Dimapur about 11.30pm (local).
