Medals, revenue and land disputes at Khizabama |

To Khizabama. Gave out medals. There was a good deal of eagerness to get them and a number of Angamis who had deserted from a column in Manipur were much annoyed at not getting any. |

Viyekha of Phekrokijuma reported that the Melomi I.B. had collapsed. We are due a pukka bungalow at Melomi, but I don't know if we have funds yet. |

One tin returned by Phekrokijuma - khel Venumi (revenue-paying). G.B. Zevuhe. |

I spent the morning wrestling with three-cornered land cases between Lozami, Swemi and Khizabami. The land in dispute is really in the Manipur State, but as the boundaries of the only Manipur village on that ridge (and it is a long way off) have already been decided in two former cases, I did not think it was necessary to refer to Manipur before deciding the thana of these Naga Hills villages as between each other. Luckily the land was all visible - at least so far as it mattered - from the bridle path a mile or two beyond the Khizabami I.B. I got back late to lunch and finished off the case in the afternoon, and got rid of some more medals. |

Halted Khizabama. Disposed of a dak and a number of cases. |
