text: 9/1/1926 To Khonoma. I am doubtful as to whether the retaining walls supporting the new bridge below Jotsoma are strong enough to stand the force of the stream when in flood. They confine the bed of the stream to a narrower limit than that it has made for itself, and they are very loosely constructed of unmortared stone. I should not be at all surprised to see that bridge go in the rains.
