text: To Dimapur. Manigul Khan said that he was refused land in Sibsagar because I objected. It sounds like a fairy tale. Office will please put up the papers.
text: More complaints about the lack of an overbridge. The Dimapurias said they spoke to the Commissioner about it and wanted to know what he was going to do for them. They are willing to pay 1 pie per maund on goods booked which they claim would very soon pay for the bridge. As there are often two or three trains in the station together and some are shunted about, it is likely to lead to accidents. No one is going to go round by the road more than a quarter of a mile. It would be asking too much of human nature. Either the railway should put in a bridge, or it should prosecute for trespass any one who walks across the lines. Left Manipur Road by Mixed down.
