text: To Sealtek (14 miles) and back. Held a local enquiry regarding improvements to the bazaar. The weather was awful, and soon after crossing the Katakhal Ghat my car stuck and I had to walk the rest of the way in pouring rain. I am writing to Chairman of the Hailakandi Local Board in suitable terms. The journey home was perilous, owing to the top dressing which was as slippery as ice. The Surveyor was with me and gained some useful motoring experience.
