text: 17th Jan. 1928. To Haflong. Left 6-30 by train. Arrived 1 pm Mr. Salberg, the new District Engineer was on the train and we were able to settle most outstanding questions.
text: Knowing the difficulties of touring in the North Cachar Hills I had arranged for volunteer Lhota coolies from Mokokchung Subdivision. They met me with Mr. Calvert. I went to office for a short time in the afternoon.
