text: My dear Balfour,
text: ...Last month I went up to Assam on tour, and took the opportunity of taking 10 days leave and rushing up to Mokokchung. It was terribly hot on the way, but I think they were as glad to see me as I was to see them. On my return to the plains imagine my surprise and delight to find a letter waiting for me to say that I am posted there from early this month till early in Nov., when Pawsey comes back. So off I rush on Tuesday.
text: Many people asked after you, and the boy (now a young man), who was carrying my things on the Doyang asked if I had a copy of the photo you took of us with the fish. Have you?...
text: Yours ever,
