We went on to Wakching where there was a dispensary with its view of range after range of 5000 feet hills covered with jungle called the Phom country and then I parted from Mills going the 2 day march to the railway and looking down on the tea gardens of the Assam Company with tea bushes shaded under large sau trees. Thence by rail to Manipur Road where my pony awaited me for the 5 day journey to Kohima. I was never to see the Mukokchung Subdivision again. |
