text: [My friends of Mandu were 'Maruongs'. The mixture of types is characteristic of them; the 'Charles I' type occurs in the Hangrum group, to mention but one; the Australoid type is also by no means uncommon. Paparam (or Impa - one of several of that name) is only nominally Zemi; it has been well mixed with Kabui, and a Kabui influence is noticeable in Mandu and Shongkai, though these are true Zemi villages. 1.9.45.]
