text: Chinaorang announced man with injured leg in village, so we went up and coped. Septic hole about 7" + 5" and possibly 1" deep. Much swelling; very painful. Washed & dressed. Issued Septanilam tablets, as we could not give injection; compounder had no syringe. left potas. permang. and instructions. Also dressed boy with sore on foot; much better to-day. Compounder cut hunks off it yesterday, and hurt the kid a lot, though he was very plucky. He was quite bucked with it to-day, and asked for potas. permang. to keep.
text: We are now out of peroxide, diarrhoea mixture, phenacetin, aspirin, sulphur ointment also gone. Fresh cotton wool & iodine came from Ukhrul, & 2 bandages, 1 of which went to sore leg case. Arrived Huining 12 noon; they say they have no c'-pox. Sent letter to Mrs Duncan about route. Phadang has c'-pox, so has Tuinem.
text: Case produced with frightful sinus in leg.
text: Sent to Mrs D. re route to E. of Ukhrul; it will clash with Dunc., so must try and get (68) round by Tuinem. Men say we can make bungalow in one day.
text: Ukhrul coolies have gone home till 17th.
