text: A man who has lost many cattle or mithan by a tiger will do magic and make the tiger "pagal" so that it does not leave the district, but wanders about roaring, and is easily hunted and (not so easily, presumably! U.V.G.B.) killed.
text: N. suggested that the tiger heard roaring on 20/7/40 was so bewitched; it was alleged to have been near the camp the preceding night, to the unbounded terror of the occupants.
