text: | Earthquakes are caused by a herapeo trying to turn the earth over with a crowbar. The scavenger beetle goes and tells him there are no men left, so he starts to turn the earth over, the top down and the underside up; so everyone shouts out: "there are people here! There are people here!" so that he will stop. An earthquake is followed by a day's abstention from field-work. |
