text: My dear Ursula,
text: I have had both a letter from Tim and a letter from the Govt. of India about him. They can't recruit him permanently because of his age, but they want to offer him a contract. Two years at first, till we know more about the future of the hills. The terms they will settle when/if he agrees to the idea of a contract. I've written to him all about it. If we get him HE's idea is to post him to Mokokchung, where I lived for many years - longer than anyone else ever has - and I'd like every one of them again! There is a handy tribe, the Northern Sangtams, only recently taken over which badly need writing up if you feel so inclined. I forgot to say that Mokokchung is in the Naga Hills. I gave Perry your gun...Love from us all, Yours ever,
