MARRIAGE AND "APOTIA" DEATHS.

If a woman dies in childbirth, the villages which hear of it postpone all marriages till after the next new moon. SPINNING is also forbidden for the same period.

In FEB '44 a woman died (retained placenta) in NENGLO and the marriage of NGWOBUING of THINGJE's daughter with a NGAULONG boy was postponed in consequence, although the zu had been brewed and everything made ready.
