3) "Theithing" - Tangkhul married woman's walking stick. Given to a girl by her parents; husband gives Rs100 to girl's parents, who purchase bracelets, necklace, cloths etc. for her, & the walking stick. After marriage, in times of financial stress, it is sometimes sold. |

From Ngapum village. The metal is from Burma; Ukhrul also does this work but they use Manipur metal which is considered inferior. Price Rs 2. 15/2/40. Ref. no. TW1. |
