text: Another genna to stop rain: kaleo-da-ge-na
text: It is performed by the tingkhupeo in the morning in front of the house of the representative of the village founder's family.
text: A small bamboo torch about a foot long is made and a hole dug. The torch, made bone-dry over a fire, is planted in the hole and lit with recitations of the appropriate formulae. If it burns right away, rain will stop in 2 or 3 days. This is rather a powerful ceremony, and is apt to produce drought, so must be used with discretion.
