text: Hangrum village regularly observe a day's abstention from field work on the death of a blind person (1.8.48).
text: In Asalu, people of the deceased's clan do not got to work on the day of the death and/or funeral. Persons of other clans may work, except for relatives by marriage, who remain for the funeral and ceremonies connected with it.
text: Wooden coffin in elaborate funerals sometimes has 2 lids, though one is general.
text: If burial is not on elaborate scale, i.e. in epidemics, or if some of the villagers are absent, as at harvest-time, a shield is used instead of a coffin-lid, the body, laid in the coffin, being covered with a cloth and then the shield.
