In the morning a pig is killed by anyone who cares to afford it. They are generally turned loose and caught by the bucks. The pigs seldom get far, but if one does escape into the jungle surrounding the village, the chase is fast and furious. |

About midday a man selected for his skill in fire making makes new fire with a stick and thong, and men from each house fetch clean fire and put it on a separate hearth on which they must cook, the women using the old fire. |
