text: | When the girl's marriage-price is returned by the parents the fowls, pigs, zu, mithan, and other things consumed during the wedding festivities are not refunded; but half the cash (or as decided by the court of elders) must be returned, together with the necklaces, cooking-pots and other consumable goods in kind. The other half of the cash is retained by the parents for expenses incurred at their daughter's wedding. |
