The following is the migration-history of the Hangrum community, as recited by the kadepeo of the 1946 site: |

"All the Nzemi came from Remdi, whence they went to (123) Remna, whence they went to Nui; thence the Hangrum people went to Tesenmi, thence to Impai, and thence to Bopungwemi. Thence to Nenglokuloa, near Haijaichak. Thence to Hakaokhiloa, between Nenglo and Hangrum. Thence to 'old Hangrum'. Laisong split off here because of a quarrel and settled at Hakaoloa. Then the Hangrum people went to their present site, which is called Hapaipuiditsak. Thence they went to Nkeogimkuloa. Thence to Nsuraoloa. Thence to Dangkalukuloa, thence to Nkezaikuloa, near Shongkai, and then to Hegoazamkuloa, which is also on the south side of Hemeolowa peak. They have moved at other times also from one of these places to another, but I do not remember how or when". [5 [Record T86862] |
