text: Started early for Langol side to get in on Plane Table that position of Imphal. There is a capital view of the end of the spurs over the place & it is one I must take before I leave. Rain brewing & while on way back it came down pretty smartly and continued all the way back to Residency. Ogle however, who had gone also out Plane Tabling staid out & did not return until 8 o/c. About 9 o/c the sky presented a curious appearance. On the East clear bright moonlight dark cloud & distant thunder coming up fast from the WSW over the Laimatol ridge & there was a heavy fall of rain in early part of the night, but morning broke beautifully fine.
