Our string of coolies &c is a terrible long one now & we must number some [blank] souls altogether of every nationality to be found on the Eastern frontier. I give in margin a list of the number which is no less than [blank]: English, Hindustani, Hazaribagh, Assamese, Bengali, Garo, Cachari, Khasi, Mikhir, Naga Angami, Naga Tangkol, Munipuri, Kooki, Goorkha.
