text: The fallen stones on the ridge below Maram all lie to E by N from base which shews well the direction of shock here, 2 lie towards westward, 2 to eastward. I asked the guide with me how they came to fall down suspecting the cause to have been the earthquake of 1869. He replied at once when the earth shook.
