55. On the 17th April, we arrived at Bansang early, and made all arrangements for taking away our whole force and the police guard on the morrow. This we did, and, passing through Bor Mutan, halted on the Teru. I took the last observations from the Khulan Mutan mark in the afternoon, and the next day everyone quitted the hills. Mr. Hinde left us at Jaipur, and on the 22nd we marked into Dibrugarh.
