text: | Among the Angamis a description of "Tabu" is very much in vogue. It is declared on every occasion; on the birth of a child, or death of one of a family, the house is tabued for five days, and no one is allowed to go in or out, except the inmated of the house. An accidental death or fire in a village places the whole village under the tabu is declared. |
