text: | In some villages the skull trophies are not placed in the morang, but are placed in front verandah, decorated as usual with horns. The eldest brother in a family, in addition to his own trophies gets the skulls taken by his brothers, also to decorate his portals. Many of the verandahs contain a number of Y-shaped posts carved with human figures and methua heads. These signify that the occupant of the house has been the giver of a big feast. |
