Up early. Are men brought in fowls rice etc. Took some as coolies onto Nankam. Arrived there about 12.30 & breakfasted in village experiencing a most friendly reception. Wrote instructions for Hinde & went out to see how Ogle was getting on with the mark. Saw it put up. Set plane table and back to camp. On way shot 3 partridges at one blow feeding in path. Found many Nagas in camp. Sent up a fire balloon which went very well. Set off few fireworks. Most unpleasantly smoky camp. After dinner copied instructions for Hinde. |
