text: 14th February, Monday. Received a deputation from the village of Ineemah who in common with all the rest appear to be most anxious to be included in the Naga Hills Jurisdiction in fact the Peirmahs vowed that if they should happen to fall on the Manipoor side of the boundary they will first fight and then cross over into the Naga Hills.
text: They said they wanted very much to show me all the hospitality that lay in their power and that if I would come and pay their village a visit they would be delighted to carry all my baggage for nothing and feed me and all my men without payment for as many days as I might stay there to which I replied that I was very much pleased to hear that they were so kindly disposed towards me and that if time permitted I would certainly go and see their village after which they took leave apparently in very good humour.
