text: 8th November. Rode out to the Deopani. The Reverend Mr. Roth, the Missionary who proposes to convert the Angamee, arrived in the evening.
text: 9th November. Out with the coolies at the Kacharibheta all the morning and occupied with office work in the afternoon. Tried a theft case amongst other things and convicting the accused sentenced him to a year's imprisonment.
text: 10th November. Rode out to see the coolies at work beyond the Horidjan and slept the night at the Rest House.
text: 11th November. Rode back to Borpothar inspecting the work along the road.
text: 12th November. Moved Camp to Oguri near the Mohmarajan in order to rebuild the bridges that had been broken down during the past rains.
text: 13th to 17th November. Engaged with the coolies all day and every day.
