Mr. Brodrick, sub-divisional officer of Wokha, who accompanied the Deputy-Commissioner to Susu, marched by another route through the Hatiguria country on his return journey to Wokha, where he arrived on the 5th February. He met everywhere with a friendly reception, experienced no difficulty with regard to supplies or carriage, and received the assurances of the headmen that they would willingly pay revenue if they were granted British protection. |
