30. The tribes inhabiting the zone of political control along the frontier of the settled district proceeding from north to south are the Aos, Semas and Eastern Angamis. Our relations with each of these tribes will be separately noticed. It may, however, be generally remarked that there was no case during the year of either murder of or serious outrage upon any British subject by any of the tribes residing either in the political zone or beyond it. |
