text: | 23. Numbers of Nagas visited the district of Lakhimpur as usual for purposes of trade. They worked on tea gardens and even for villagers clearing jungle and building houses. A robbery was committed by Nagas in February near the Sibsagar boundary. Some Nagas were fined for selling hill ganja. Outside the Inner Line they gave no trouble. |
