19. A party of Rangpong, or trans-Patkai Nagas, raided a Naga village by name Danran situated beyond the Inner Line. The raiders killed six men and carried away eleven women from the village. The raid is said to have been committed in revenge for a raid by Namsangiya Nagas. The Borduaria Naga chief, by name Wangman, came on a visit to Dibrugarh. |

A coolie of the Makum tea garden was shot dead in the course of a petty altercation by a Naga named Liwang, who fled to the hills and has not been arrested. Some complaints were received of thefts of cattle and iron by Nagas at the coal mines. |
