text: 57. During the last rains several thefts by Nagas occurred, but they were all of a petty nature. The culprits were caught in several cases and punished.
text: Two Kolaborai Nagas in Jorhat lodged a complaint against the chaukidar of the Titabor inspection bungalow that they had been assaulted by him. The accused was punished with a small fine.
text: The general conduct of the Nagas was satisfactory, and their occasional thefts are of no political importance. Their relations with managers bordering on the Inner Lone were friendly, and large numbers came to the plains to seek work and trade.
