text: 15. The Rangpang Nagas were assessed to house-tax during the cold weather and most of the villages paid their taxes shortly after the close of the year. The area inhabited by Rangpang Nagas contains 300 houses in 29 villages with a population of 1,600. An outpost was established on the Tirap during the cold weather in consequence of a recrudescence of thefts of railway materials in the vicinity of the mines and railway works at Ledo. The Sarkari Nagas in the Lakhimpur Frontier Tract are reported to have behaved well. The conduct of the Barduaria, Namsangiya and Barmithunia Nagas was also satisfactory
