text: The villages of the Thenkoh group occupy part of the outer ranges adjoining the plains of Assam, and in 1937 most of them lay within the borders of the Naga Hills district. They included Wakching, Wanching, Chingtang, Kongan, Namsang, Tamlu, Kanching, and Anaki, whereas the Thenkoh villages Kamahu, Yungya, and Tangsa still lay in unadministered territory.
