text: There was a rigid division of labour between the sexes insofar as domestic crafts were concerned. While in agriculture men and women cooperated in many tasks, no women was ever seen making baskets, carving wood, or working metal, and men took no part in pot-making, spinning, weaving, or dyeing yarn.
