This was followed by 'nep-ning hei-ya-dzang,' the "time of eating rice." Boys and unmarried men came from the morung and joined their parents and sisters at the family hearth; adults and children squatted round the fire and ate the morning meal, which consisted of rice and whatever spice or relish was available.
