Even when the young wife wore the tattoo marks of a married woman, she did not go to live in her husband's house, but remained with her parents. During this period she led a life hardly distinguishable from that of an unmarried girl. As before, she worked with the labour gang of her girlfriends and in her parents' household, and only occasionally did she help her husband's family with the work on their fields. |
